At Ease with Complex Enterprise Java Projects

Xebia India clients are big organizations based in Europe. We handle complex Enterprise Java software development, maintenance and consulting assignment of our customers with the help of a highly experienced team.

Some of the customers with whom we have worked and nature of assignment has been described in the following paragraphs:

ProRail


ProRail takes care of capacity, reliability and safety on Dutch railways system. Daily ProRail guides over 1 million passengers and 80,000 tons of freight into the right direction.

PUB project is part of a big project at ProRail which aims at enriching the user experience by providing more information about train schedule etc. The pub project will publish the train information on new digital displays and audio systems. The information about the train is received from another system called CRIS. The Pub project consist of mainly 3 components Pub-Server, Pub-Client (Displays) and Pub-Operator (to control the displays and information on displays). The technologies used are Weblogic, Flex, Flex data Services, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Swing etc.

The Project is being executed using Agile Distributed Delivery Model by Xebia in India and the Netherlands. There are three teams consisting of total 18 members divided equally in India and the Netherlands.

KLM


Xebia has created the Automated Deployment solution for KLM Webf@rm Operations. Automated Deployment (AD) configures and deploys Java EE applications (EAR files) as part of AD application packages to all Webf@rm test, acceptance, and production environments. AD supports WebSphere Application Server V4, V5, and V6 as well as HTTP software, database envrionments and security components. It is cluster-aware and configures, starts and stops clustered environments on demand. A Bamboo front-end controls access to the Automated Deployment software, and provides developers with so-called Self Service Deployments in the integration test environment.

Delta Lloyd Asset Management


Xebia has done an audit for Delta Lloyd Asset Management on the present Java based systems used for Asset Management. The assignment objective was to see if Java applications are future proof and the quality of software is proportionate with time and money spent in building it. In this audit, interviews, source code and documentation have been used to investigate and present a balanced view of the situation.

ANWB


ANWB is number 1 Road Users Organisation in Holland. They provide 24 hrs of road assistance to road users. Xebia has developed a Kilometer Registration application for its staff. On the basis of actual number of Kilometers, employees get money reimbursement from the company. Xebia has developed the Kilometer Registration application using Spring and Hibernate by making intensive use of UML and unified process.

Contrado


Contrado provides software development and application infrastructure management services to KPN Telcom. They have developed Order Manager product to receive and process orders for various telco products such as fixed or mobile connection.
Xebia audited the home grown CRM application of Contrado which is built using .Net and J2EE technologies.

Robeco


Robeco provides investment products and services to around 700 institutional and 1.5 million private clients worldwide. Private investors are serviced via banks, direct channels, and other distribution partners.
Within ROBECO a number of different projects wanted to start using Rich Internet Application (RIA) technology. RIA defines interactive Internet applications that have the look and feel of normal desktop applications similar to word processors or spreadsheets. In this project Xebia conducted a study of products available in market to see if they meet the specified selection criteria. The evaluated products included Backbase, Oracle ADF and Macromedia Flex and Flash.
